In 2022, Down East stepped up its game and took big creative risks, pushing the envelope on what is possible in editorial. As its editorial mandate is to, essentially, give Mainers a mirror into the lifestyle, culture and experience of the state, it did so in inventive and surprising ways. Each issue had a focal point that exemplified the idea of “surprise and delight”.
