Texas Highways, “National Park Perks” by Michael Crampton
Beautiful illustrations and layout. Bravo.
Arizona Highways, “June 30, 1956” by Mark Smith
I like that the story is being told without being overly dramatic. The breadth of the canyon in contrast to the relative smallness of the crash creates its own drama (could have worked without the planes, even).
The illustration pulls you in without resorting to shocking the reader.
Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, “Behind the Scenes” by Caroline Magerl
The tone of the illustration harmonizes well with the story and the page. Communicates the idea with Elegance.
Adirondack Life, “Vanishing Acts” by Janice Kun
Great vintage feel of illustrations. Really loved the spots of the beaver and moose.
